Committing changes to Mercurial

In order to commit changes to your local Mercurial repository, you have to set up a username.

  • Right-click on the directory containing your Mercurial repository and select either Repository Settings or Global Settings (If you will use the same username in all repositories, set it in Global Settings)

  • Select Commit on the left menu and type a username and password in the username field

  • Select OK or Apply
  • Right-click on the directory or file(s) to commit and select Hg Workbench or Hg Commit...

  • Click on the Commit icon at the top of the Hg Workbench

  • Enter a commit message and check the box next to any files with a ? these are new files that need to be added

  • Click on Commit.
