Photon statistics

I am looking to make runs of different photon counts to get a sense of the noise expected in particular experimental conditions.

If I run two identical simulation, will the time histograms be identical? I am looking to use the command - line MC for this (not the GUI). Is there a setting to randomize the counts so that each MC run could be considered as an independent experiment?

Not an issue, already option in code.

In the Simulation Input file, there is a folder called "Options". If you expand that folder there is a item called "Seed" which is the seed to the random number generator. Setting the seed to 0, creates the same random number sequence so two simulations will have identical results. Setting the seed to -1 will create a random sequence that is not reproducible and so two simulations with this seed will not have identical results.
