Release Notes

This is a beta release version (1.0.4) of the Monte Carlo command-line application.

This release added the following capabilities:
1) Radiance detectors as a function of location (x,y,z) and angles (theta,phi). A sample input for this detector can be found in the infile infileonelayeralldetectors.
2) Momentum transfer (MT) detectors as a function of source-detector separation, rho, tissue subregion and provides a histogram of momentum transfer in the specified MT bins. A sample input for this detector can be found in the infile infiletwolayer_ReflectedMTOfRhoAndSubRegionHist.
3) the option to turn on Russian Roulette. The threshold photon weight is specified in SimulationOptions in the infiles. Default is 0.0. Probability of surviving Russian Roulette is set to 0.1.
4) a "statistics.xml" output that tallies how the photons died, either out the tissue domain, killed by Russian Roulette, etc.
