This is a beta release version (1.0.5) of Mie Simulator GUI application. Mie Simulator GUI tool is capable of calculating
- Scattering coefficient
- Scattering cross section
- Reduced scattering coefficient
- Phase function
- S1 and S2
- Average cosine of the phase function
for a single or series of wavelengths based on the Lorentz-Mie solution. In addition, it can be used to estimate fitting parameters of the reduced scattering coefficient curve. This tool provides far field solution for mono disperse and poly disperse distribution of spheres. It is based on the BHMIE code (Bohren and Huffman's Mie code) and the current release will only work on Windows OS.

This release includes:
- corrected scattering cross section plot in poly disperse distribution.
- modified boundary limits for poly disperse distributions. Previous version used 5% of the maximum number density as the cut off limit at the boundary in log normal and Gaussian distribution. This release uses 3% for 3 discrete sphere sizes and 0.5% for 51 discrete sphere sizes. The cut off limit gradually decreases with the number of discrete sphere sizes.
- a new button to 'Display Data' values.
- selection of either 'Concentration' or 'Volume Fraction' for both distributions.
- selection of small or large angular division (dθ) in 'phase function' and 'g' calculation.
