
When using the frequency domain forward solver the plot has a funny shape  see http://tinypic.com/r/iejtlg/5  is this a bug? Also is this the AC amplitude or some other quantity? Is phase available as well?

Thanks for the question!
It's not a bug  in the online Silverlight GUI, we currently plot interleaved real and imaginary components for frequency domain results. For the moment, you'll need to export to text to process to amplitude/phase.
Aside: our core Vts.dll library exposes the solution as a Complex data type. Coming soon, we should have a native Matlab interface for these solvers.
In your example, you plot R(ρ) at ft = 0 GHz, which is steadystate reflectance vs sourcedetector separation, so zeros for the imaginary component make sense.
By the way, for these solvers we assume a semiinfinite tissue geometry, and the index of refraction, n, is variable for the analytic (nonMC solvers). For the scaled Monte Carlo, the index is fixed at 1.4.
